Her Therapist Was Holding Her Back

I've had a ton of clients ask me: "Why don't you become a Therapist?" It's because I don't want to be limited in how I help people, like the many clients who come to me after therapy doesn't work.

I want to introduce you to a former client of mine, Shannon. Prior to working together she had been seeing a Therapist for several years until finally one day it dawned on her.

"My Therapist is keeping me stuck".
(Scroll to the bottom to see how I helped more in 12 weeks than her therapist did in 2 years).

She told me this on our first call and explained that's why she finally reached out to work with me, a Life Coach.

It was this vicious cycle: She would go to therapy, talk about all her problems, feel gassed up and validated by her therapist, leave feeling like she was on cloud 9, and then drop back to despair the next day.

I see this all the time.

People get stuck in a loop of what feels good, without making tangible changes.

When I was a fitness coach I'd see the same thing with people logging endless hours of cardio and feel high on endorphins after working out, but never lose weight.

In both scenarios they just keep chasing the high. More therapy, more processing, more miles, longer workouts. No progress.

There's a hit of dopamine from "doing", that can be easier than asking the hard questions:

What is the real reason I keep rubbing up against these challenges?
What needs to change to get the result I want?

I'm not a hater of therapy, but I've had enough clients stuck in the cycle of talky, talky, talky that they are actually reinforcing their problems.

Instead I focus on what needs to change, and how do we make that happen. Most therapists are afraid of "wanting to help you change". Which is exactly what keeps people stuck.

You're looking for help because you want things to be different! That's great!

That's why I haven't gone to Therapy school. I don't want to be constrained into helping people in a certain way that follows credentials somebody made up.

And I've got proof of my process. This is one of the coolest testimonials I've ever received!

"I made a more significant transformation with Taylor in 12 weeks than I ahd in the last 2 years of weekly formal therapy."

If you are sick and tired of being stuck and know your'e capable of more, I'm the coach for you. I specialize in helping people through the deep life transitions that get you from where you are to where you want to be.

Whether you want to change you're career, are going through a break up, or need the confidence to become the Leader life is asking you to be.

I've got 3 spots open for 1:1 coaching until May 20th. Reply to this email with the word GROWTH, for more info.

Much Love,
Taylor

When I was 28 my life completely transformed when I stopped using 2 words: "Think" & "try". I was in a business mentorship and the first 6 weeks were all personal growth related. When we got to the mindset module, my brain started to completely malfunction when I realized the way my mind was keeping me stuck. This program was supposed to be the answer to my problems. I wanted to quit my corporate job, start my own business and live the life of my dreams by helping people. I thought I needed...

He showed up to our call exhausted and desperate. It's been 4 months since he started this new management role where he has shifted from "player" to "coach" in his company and it's been like drinking from a water hose trying to meet all the demands. Not only does he have his own responsibilities, but now he has an army of people wanting his time, opinion and answers. It's like a brood of baby birds chirpy loudly in his ears until they get fed. In my clients scenario, it's like they never get...

The Power of Deadlines In January of 2017 I gave myself a 1 year deadline to find a new career path, with the ultimatum that I would quit my CrossFit coaching job by end of the year no matter what.I remember thinking 6 months after getting this job that I knew I didn’t want to do this long term. 5 Years later I was still there - hence the line in the sand. I knew I had to s*** or get off the pot if I didn’t want my life to pass me by. I spend the next year being mentored to go into Orthopedic...
